Sagay Christian School is a ministry of Sagay Evangelical Church which was recognized in 1980 at Sagay City, Negros Occidental. It was the first kindergarten School or Pre-School opened in our community long before the Department of Education (DepEd) became aware that Pre –School education is vital to early childhood training and development of children, before stepping to the first level of Education or Grade 1, thus, giving every child the ability to develop his capacities to the fullest.

Sagay Christian School is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commissions (SEC) to operate and was given a certificate of Recognition by the Department of Education (DepEd).

However, in its early years of establishment, Sagay Christian School does not have a building of its own to hold classes. The Left wing or balcony of the church has been their haven of learning. Not until year 1990, when the Bible School moved to a new site, and soon after Sagay Christian School moved into the building which is located between the church and the parsonage.

After copious years of existence, Sagay Christian School has become dilapidated and rotten. Hence, for the safety and welfare of the school children, the Board of Trustees of Sagay Christian School and the Board of Directors of Sagay Evangelical Church with their fervent prayers for a new project, the good Lord has granted their petition. The old building was demolished and constructed a new school building.

End of 2008, Sagay Christian School has started the planned construction of a three-storey building. With the generosity of the church congregation’s own sacrificial way of giving, on 12th April 2009 – God’s Unfailing Love Fellowship in Dubai has extended their help through the “Mission of Giving”, a Global Samaritan Mission. Likewise, we will forever be thankful and always remember the full support that we received from our brethrens here and abroad.

Hopefully, there will be a full progress on the building construction of Sagay Christian School, in time for the opening of classes for School Year 2009 – 2010. We are continuously praying for help and blessings from our good Lord that He may grant our petition for His Glory.

Global Samaritan Mission

"Mission is the heartbeat of God," this is what we often hear from preachers and fellow Christians. And from time to time we are being challenged to participate and eventually be involved personally. This is actually where the differences take place. Other churches and Christians stick in the aspect of participation while being blind on the aspect of involvement and vice versa. Thank God that many churches and individual Christians today recognizes the importance of both. This is what "one body with many parts" also means, that as a body of believers, each believer has a role to do. Same is true to missions; there are those who are called to pray, to give and to go.

GSM is an arm of G.U.L.F. and it took its first initiative to participate in missions as a good step to start this New Year. As a group of believers who are working here in the Middle East, we agreed to be a part of the heartbeat of God through our finances in the way of "pledging." In every quarter, we will pledge for one church or missio work. And whatever is the total amount will be given to the target. And since we came from different churches, we decided to make schedule so as to accomodate all the churches we represent. Our first target is Sagay Christian School. We want to help them in the renovation of their building. Here are some photos of the ongoing project. God willing, we will all complete our pledges and send the money on the first week of March.
